A ton of fires in apartment buildings are started by smokers flicking lit cigarette butts off their balconies. The smoldering butt lands on a neighbor's balcony, floors below, and starts a fire. Toronto Fire Services wanted a hard-hitting awareness campaign to get smokers to stop their flicking.

Residents got the message and wanted copies of the powerful posters. The campaign was picked up in cities across Canada.
